10 months ago“Osprey and Pray”….. This is an older sculpture I reworked for an upcoming group show entitled “Plasticulture” at the @svanyc in NYC. The opening reception is 6 to 8pm October 30. The Osprey is a rare success story in conservation. It’s for this reason and because I’m not a fish that it inspires a glimmer of hope. I continually watch with fascination at the perfect design that evolution has created when I witness these creatures hunt. Many video and image references I used came from the excellent work of @mark.smith.photography . The whole sculpture is built on a little plaster cherub and ridiculous “Franky the Fish” promotional item McDonalds used to sell more fillet-o-fish.
