I feel like as a Canadian who has spent a lot of time in the U.S., I appreciate and care about the country more than many of its actual citizens.

Many people seem to think that it's possible to fight a war and ONLY kill bad guys/militants. That's just absolutely delusional, hasn't happened ever. War is always going to be a nightmare for civilians. That's why nations should take great care to avoid starting wars.
